Yesderday was a big day for Luke.... his first day of school! Well, "mother's day out"... he goes every Wed from 9:30 to 2:30. He didn't cry at all when I dropped him off - two other kids were screaming their heads off (that will probably be him next week). He played and played and played... so much that he didn't take a nap at all, despite assurances from his teacher that allllll her kids take a nap. Hope he doesn't get expelled!!
Luke got a new lunch box which he ate out of at a little table. I didn't personally see it, but supposedly they all behaved (Luke has a tendency to throw food). The kids played with a sensory table filled with oatmeal and toys. They rolled a ball around. They played outside on the playground and in a gym with kids from all the classes. Ah, the life of a toddler...
And Mommy was very brave dropping off her little angel. Then promptly hit a deer on the way home (a 6-point buck, according to Steve). So her "mother's day out" was spent waiting on the police and a tow truck since the radiator was busted. Bummer.
