Elf

Luke and Poppie made a trailer for his car so he can tow things around - he loves to build things, so I think he's going to love the workbench and tools he's getting for Christmas:

Busy Weekend

Luke has been bugging me to go see dinosaur bones. He really wanted to dig some up, but since I couldn't swing that, we went to the Texas Memorial Museum:

Also went to see Megamind - his 3D glasses make him look like Buddy Holly:

And the main event of the weekend was the Lakeway boat parade - got to hang out on a really cool boat and watch a boat parade of other boats all lit up with Christmas lights (kind of like the Disney electric parade).

And the Georgetown Christmas Stroll and parade:

Cuteness

Luke was admiring my necklace when he exclaimed "it's a Jesus cross!! .... but in cursive!!"

Luke loves to gather acorns and we talk about how amazing it is that you can plan one and it turns into a huge tree. He said he dreamed last night that he planted a snow seed and it grew into a snow man.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lovely Thanksgiving with the family and friends - this is Luke's friend Alex from school....

School pics

I cracked up when I saw these. Luke was soooooo tired on school picture day and I just knew he wouldn't be cooperative. Ugh. Oh well. What can ya do? Looks like the photographer did try his best - four different locations is about as good an effort as anyone could give...

Me: I'm coming to thanksgiving lunch in your classroom on Friday!
Luke: What are you bringing?
Me: broccoli salad
Luke: No, I mean what are you bringing that the children will like

We settled on making pumpkin muffins together to take on Friday since the children evidently won't like broccoli salad. :-P

Trick-R-Treat

Halloween was HOT! Luke was a fireman again since his costume from last year still fit, although he didn't wear his jacket very long. We did add a backpack pump with hose for spraying water and we also painted black spots on LuLu so she could be his "Dalmatian".

Happy Halloween!

Luke's Friday started out great when his class carved this pumpkin, then he won the drawing to take it home!

Then I took him and his good friend Alex to get blue snow cones (notice the blue lips?):

Then we went to Grandma GaGa's house for a fun party:

Luke got hot in his fireman outfit, so TJ was happy to borrow part of it for his costume:
