Gingerbread House

MeMa brought over a gingerbread house kit. We had so much fun putting it together and decorating it!!

Here is the final result:

Went to cousin Meigan's 18th birthday party yesterday. Luke and cousin Josh had fun playing with each other and Luke showed him how to play games on the iphone.

Happy Holidays

Today we put up our Christmas lights! Luke (and LuLu) enjoyed every minute. Luke is soooooo excited about Christmas. But he keeps asking when it will snow - hmmmm, wonder when that will be? May have to drive to go see some.

Thanksgiving dinner was at Aunt Sissy's house, and a huge success!!

Luke loves to cook. This is him helping MeMa fry some fish:

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We put up our Christmas tree today - Luke had so much fun decorating it! He put some peackock feathers in it, some Thomas the Train stickers, hung the ornaments, and put all his stuffed animals around the bottom of the tree.

Thanksgiving Lunch at School

Luke's classroom had a Thanksgiving lunch today for all the children and parents. It was so great to get to be in his classroom for a while. He was so proud of his beautiful room and the work that he does in there.

Ackley Park

Poppie and Justin worked allllll day Saturday, part of Sunday (got rained out), and into the night on Wednesday to complete this fabulous playscape for Luke!! (I also got to do some work on it - I couldn't let them have all the fun!) Luke loves loves loves it. Says it's his "park". Steve had been bugging me to find Luke a playscape, so this is a fulfillment of that wish.

FYI, this came from Costco, and they brand it as Sunray, but it ships from Rainbow - they evidently rebrand it since they sell it for such a reduced cost over the Rainbow branded ones. The quality is fantastic - we would highly recommend it for anyone looking. And although it says it ships in 2-3 weeks, I ordered on Friday and it was delivered the following Tuesday!

Avon Party at Aunt Sissy's

Pat, Jenny, Stella, Beta, GiGi, Sissy, Winky, me, and Luke:

Friends since diapers!

Luke can work my iPhone better than I can:

Bedtime conversation with Luke tonight.....

Luke: Who was that man with the one eye?

Me: Huh?

Luke: That green man with the eye right here (pointing to forehead) on Shawn the Sheep?

Me: Oh, that was an alien from outer space

Luke: What's that mean?

Me: It's just pretend - just for t.v.

Luke: (Silence for a looooong time) God made him that way!!

Awwwwwww. Precious!!

Halloween

Ninja Princess, pirate, Kate-Plus-Eight, Roman Empress:

Luke decided he did NOT want to dress as a fireman (HUGE drama!):

We compromised and agreed he didn't have to wear the overalls with suspenders (they were so cute, too) - just the jacket and hat with regular pants:

Things were starting to look up at the neighborhood fair, even if he did get about 5 toothbrushes from the dentist booths:

Oh yeah, now we're having some fun!

Pop and Julie came to visit from California - they were going to be pirates with me, but Pop's costume didn't make it into the luggage:
