Happy Halloween!

Luke's Friday started out great when his class carved this pumpkin, then he won the drawing to take it home!

Then I took him and his good friend Alex to get blue snow cones (notice the blue lips?):

Then we went to Grandma GaGa's house for a fun party:

Luke got hot in his fireman outfit, so TJ was happy to borrow part of it for his costume:

Corpus Christi

Luke and I drove to Corpus Christi with our friends Jennifer and Mason. Did the Lexingon Museum, Aquarium, and spent some time with my sister and friends and family on North Padre Island (they camped in tents, Jennifer and I and the kiddos stayed at a friend's condo). So much fun!!!

Ice Cream

Ice cream with cousin Winky...

And with classmate/fiancee Abby...

A while back Luke said he was going to marry Ella. Then he said he changed and was going to marry Abby (an older woman! she's 5). I asked him what that meant and he said "it means you love her and you give her a ring". He then selected a lovely pink ring that he had "won" in a machine at the movie theater. He talked all weekend about giving it to her on Monday, but he chickened out on Monday and said he'd wait until we had a playdate. So we scheduled a playdate for a week later. He obsessed and obsessed over the big playdate - he put the ring in a gift bag, along with a necklace he made, some pink crazy bands, a pink toothbrush, and a paddle ball game. He wrote his name on the tag and made me write some hearts. SO CUTE!!! All his idea - I did not prompt him at all. So the above photos are from the BIG meeting for frozen yogurt with Abby. He played it pretty coy, but he was delighted. Abby's mom told me that Abby said the girls select the boys - not the other way around. So Abby selected Luke to marry and he seems pretty darn happy about it.
