More CA pics

The Ventura Harbor had the coolest electric bubble blower - we spent lots of time chasing those elusive little bubbles.

Had some awesome seafood.

Luke squealed so much when playing with his dump truck that Pop bought him that Grandpa had to turn down his hearing aids!

So hard to say goodbye...

Just amazing how much luggage is required for 3 adults and a toddler... Luke's stuff alone was probably 5 times his weight!

Despite a slight fever and rash (due to MMR shot??) and also cutting a canine tooth, Luke was a very good boy in California. Steve, on the other hand, was fit to be tied the last day when we discovered our rental car had a window smashed out right in front of our hotel. Luckily, we had all day to get that taken care of and get down to LAX for our late flight back. In fact, we had a lovely lunch in Santa Monica, did a little shopping, and had a relatively stress-free day after that rough start.

We did have a little scare while passing through security - Karen, Luke, and I had already gone through and Steve was next when they shut down the entire area because a girl (a teen with an attitude) set off the metal detectors but left the area, ignoring guard's instructions to have a secondary search. Thankfully, they got things going again pretty quickly and we were on our way home.
